Fresh Ideas for a New Year: Pro Tips! Sharing Organiser Experiences & Networking

Happy New Year!

What are your Meetup Goals for 2019?

Let's kick off 2019 with totally inspiring topics like... what makes your group and org/hosting style unique? what keeps your members coming back? but then there's also issues like successfully dealing with burnout, co-org drama, and problem members.

To balance out the first couple of meetings, this one is geared more towards "mature" organisers who have been organising for at least a year. (But, as always, all-levels welcome.)

Let's take stock of our progress, talk and learn from each other's successes, mistakes, and problem-solving, and freshen up for a new year with new perspectives and new ideas.

We will:

• Spend time socialising and networking with other organisers in Berlin
• Brainstorm how the Berlin Orgainser Network can best support you: what do you want from this Network?
• Hear stories and ask questions from our peers: Our events are in Q&A format to share best practices and solve problems. Everyone is encouraged to pitch in with ideas, questions, experiences.

As a starting point for discussion, Yumi will share her varied experiences as the organiser of three social groups, with downs and ups, pleas for help, and idiosyncratic advice.

With many thanks to Erwin, we'll be meeting at the FilmTech Office: a co-working space for creatives and entrepreneurs in film, storytelling, and tech. (Look forward to their excellent coffee!)
