## What this session is about?

This is a clear, practical introduction to Outcome-Based Organization (OBS) - a simple way to structure your life into a few meaningful areas, define what “great” looks like in each, and translate that into weekly rituals and daily actions that actually move the needle. You’ll leave with one concrete quarterly outcome, a strong purpose behind it, and three leverage actions you can start this week.

## What is Outcome-Based Organization?

OBS is a lightweight “life operating system.” Instead of juggling endless to-dos, you:

  • Organize life into a handful of categories (e.g., Career, Health, Relationships).
  • Write a concise vision and purpose for each category.
  • Name the roles/identity you want to embody there.
  • Set quarterly outcomes (specific, measurable results).
  • Install a few weekly rituals and daily actions that make progress predictable.
At its core is the chain: Outcome → Purpose → Actions (OPA). First decide the result, connect it to a compelling why, then pick the smallest set of actions that create outsized progress.

## The 7 Principles of Outcome-Based Organization

  1. Outcome First, Always
Start from the result you want, not the tasks you could do. Define the finish line before you start running.
  2. Purpose Powers Execution
Link every key outcome to a motivating “why.” Clear purpose reduces friction and keeps you consistent when energy dips.
  3. Identity & Roles Drive Behavior
Clarify who you are in each category (“I am a learning-driven founder,” “a present partner,” “an athlete”). Identity makes the right actions feel natural.
  4. Fewer, Better Categories
Focus on a small number of life areas so attention and energy are not diluted. Depth beats breadth.
  5. Quarterly Outcomes, Weekly Rhythm
Plan in quarters; execute in weeks. Use weekly rituals (planning, reflection, review) to course-correct fast.
  6. Leverage Actions Over Long Lists
Replace bulky to-dos with a short list of high-leverage actions that directly advance the outcome. Cut the rest.
  7. Close the Loop with Reflection
End each week by checking outcomes, learning what worked, and adjusting actions. Progress compounds when feedback is built-in.

## What you’ll learn

  • The OBS building blocks: categories → vision → purpose → roles → quarterly outcomes → weekly rituals → daily actions
  • How to craft one Outcome-Purpose-Actions set you can start using immediately
  • A weekly planning cadence (evening/morning check-ins + Friday review) that keeps you outcome-led
  • How to stop carrying tasks forward and instead schedule only what advances the outcome

## Agenda (60 minutes)

0-5 min • Welcome & the “why” behind OBS
5-15 min • The model in practice: categories, vision, purpose, roles, outcomes, rituals, actions
15-35 min • Guided exercise: write one quarterly outcome, attach its purpose, pick 3 leverage actions
35-50 min • Weekly rhythm & scheduling: translating outcomes into your actual calendar
50-60 min • Q&A and next steps (2-week experiment template)

## You’ll leave with

  • A one-page draft for one life category (vision, purpose, roles)
  • One concrete quarterly outcome and three leverage actions
  • A weekly planning checklist you can reuse (plan → do → reflect → adjust)

## Who this is for

Founders, professionals, and creators who want clear results rather than longer to-do lists. Beginner-friendly; no prior OBS experience needed.
