UPDATE TO LOCATION!
Walk into the library and turn right as soon as possible. Go round the book case and back on yourself and you should see an open door with a keypad next to it.
If the door isn't open, please speak to a member of the library.

Then go up the stairs and follow the corridors. You will find us in the last room on the left, past the kitchen.

ALSO...
Let's try something different this session. Could everyone bring two questions to the session in relation to the book? The only caveat is you can't ask: "What did you think of the book?" :)

Practical Ethics - Peter Singer
(ideally the third edition)

For thirty years, Peter Singer's Practical Ethics has been the classic introduction to applied ethics.
For this third edition, the author has revised and updated all the chapters and added a new chapter addressing climate change, one of the most important ethical challenges of our generation.

Some of the questions discussed in this book concern our daily lives.
* Is it ethical to buy luxuries when others do not have enough to eat?
* Should we buy meat from intensively reared animals?
* Am I doing something wrong if my carbon footprint is above the global average?

Where to meet
We will be meeting at Kingston Library, Fairfield Rd, KT1 2PS

https://goo.gl/maps/stuniZBoAbEcccyy5

Please arrive at 18:25 for a 18:30 start sharp, so we can squeeze the most discussion out of the session :)

We will wrap up around 19:50 as the library needs us out by 20:00.

There will then be an option to go for a drink at a nearby pub if anyone is interested.

As always please feel free to contact me with any questions etc, or post on the Meetup group discussion.
