Session Description:
Keeping systems consistent is hard, especially when environments grow not only to Windows, but also to Linux or macOS. Microsoft Desired State Configuration (DSC) is the new frontrunner that brings the idea of "Configuration as Code" to all three operating systems. It allows you to define your system in an idempotent way, just like you're used to with PowerShell DSC.

In this beginner-friendly session, we'll shortly explore what DSC is, why it exists, and then do a step-by-step deep dive into writing your declarative infrastructure with friendly demos to follow along. Whilst Microsoft DSC doesn't rely on PowerShell, some prior PowerShell knowledge is required.
