Hey Folks,

let's discuss once the topic of Dreams , which could offer us some interesting Insights (even if we could spend part of our lifetime ''dreaming'', one may give little reflection abt it):

a-What's your personal idea/opinion about Dreams ?

-Which Role do you think dreams play ?
i.e. Do they process emotions or events that happen in our daily lives? ; Do they serve as a kind of psychological "reset"/restore for you?

-.Do you think dreams have inherent meaning, or do we create the meaning of our dreams after we wake up? How might cultural or personal biases influence how we interpret our dreams?

- What do you believe dreams reveal about your subconscious mind? Can you think of a time when a dream gave you insight into something you hadn't realized about yourself?**

- Do you think dreams are influenced by external factors, like media, people, or even societal trends? How much of your dreams are reflections of the collective unconscious versus your personal psyche?**

- Have you ever had a recurring dream or theme in your dreams? What do you think it might represent in your life, and how might it be related to your waking experiences?

-Do you believe that we "dream" while awake as well? For instance, through daydreams or fantasies—how do these types of "dreaming" differ from the sleep kind, and what do they reveal about our desires and motivations?

EXTRA Reflections :

-Do you believe that dreams can be a form of self-healing or self-discovery? Can you share an example where a dream might have helped you solve a problem or understand an emotion?

-If you could control your dreams (lucid dreaming), would you want to? What do you think it would mean for your sense of self if you could consciously navigate your dream world?

If you could ask a dream to reveal something to you, what would you ask, and why? What do you hope to uncover through your dreams?

Hope u enjoy it
Cheers

The goal of the Practical Philosophy Club is to create a community that is open to discussing ideas that can be used practically in everyday life. this group isn’t aligning necessarily with the specific scope that „philosophy“ and „practical philosophy“ may have in the academic world **We don't have topics that are off-limits and look to discuss all sides of a topic in order to:

  1. help you understand your point of view,
  2. Give you different perspectives, and
  3. realize that we all have some common ground and just because someone isn't on your "side" doesn't mean they are your enemy.**

We value communication, simplicity, balance, honesty, and discernment as values to live by, and look to build a community around these values. The typical meeting is about 10-15 minutes of banter to warm up before we move to introduce the weekly discussion topics. If the group is large we will split into separate groups so as to maintain a conversational tone within the discussions. With about 15 minutes left in the time, we bring all of the groups together and conclude.
