Agentic engineering only works if the platform underneath it can support autonomous action safely. Justin Billig and Dan Rye, co-founders of Tensure, break down the three platform capabilities engineering organizations need to move agents out of experimentation and into production: a controlled action layer, identity and guardrails, and a feedback loop.

**You'll come away knowing:**

1. How to build a controlled action layer that exposes approved capabilities to agents through APIs, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps rather than direct infrastructure access.
2. How to give each agent an identity, scoped permissions, and explicit boundaries so autonomy stays bounded and humans approve what matters.
3. How to close the feedback loop with observability, testing, policy checks, SLOs, and audit data so agents know whether an action worked and can respond when it didn't.

Online event

Join Vultr and Weave Intelligence for a session on why NVIDIA and AMD are opening the software above their silicon, and what that hands platform teams. Learn how to compare open AI stacks, test an opinionated stack against five criteria, and decide what to build, what to source, and what your team still owns.

We'll dig into:
- **A new era of open source:** why the AI giants are giving away the layer above the accelerator, and why it lands on the platform team.
- **What openness buys, and what it costs:** governance, sovereignty, model flexibility and cost, and how the license fee moves onto your headcount.
- **Evaluating an opinionated stack:** five tests covering accelerator flexibility, regional autonomy, Kubernetes governance, openness and operational investment.
- **Build versus source:** what curated public stacks change, and what stays yours to own.
