Whether you are a seasoned woodworker with a workshop full of projects or someone who is just curious about the craft, I would love for you to join us at the Fingal Sawdust and Spirits Woodworking Social. This is a relaxed, informal gathering designed for us to step away from our individual projects and connect with others in the area who share an interest in working with wood. There is no agenda and no pressure to prove your skill level; it is simply an opportunity to share stories, talk shop, and enjoy good company.

We will be meeting to discuss our current builds, troubleshoot any lingering problems, and swap tips on everything from tool maintenance to wood sourcing. If you have been feeling a bit isolated in your garage or shed lately, this is the perfect chance to trade the sawdust for a drink and get some fresh perspectives. Please let me know if you can make it by clicking the RSVP button so I have a rough idea of how many people to expect.

We are getting together for a hands-on workshop focused on the fundamentals of shadow puppetry. This session is designed for anyone interested in the technical side of storytelling, from crafting silhouettes to mastering the subtle movements that bring a character to life behind the screen. Whether you are a total beginner or have some experience with performance arts, this is a great chance to experiment with light and shadow in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

We will spend the time working through a few basic techniques and then open things up for some collaborative practice. The goal is simply to learn the mechanics of the craft and enjoy a bit of creative time with others in the community. Please bring your curiosity and any ideas you might have for a scene, even if you are just starting to sketch them out.

If you have been waiting for a reason to get involved or just want to try something a little different, we would love to have you join us. Please RSVP when you have a moment so I can make sure we have enough materials and screen space for everyone.
