Quality Engineering meetup #5

Details

In collaboration with JetBrains and with three very sophisticated talks on our stage, Qase is presenting the fifth Meetup on Quality Engineering in Berlin.

AGENDA

1. Roman Evstigneev, Marketing & Ops Lead: Marketing as the first step to Quality Assurance

Roman explores the often-misunderstood role of marketing in delivering high-quality products. Starting with the basics of marketing and quality, Roman dives into the core challenges faced when tech and marketing teams operate with misaligned mindsets, resulting in project inefficiencies and communication breakdowns. Drawing on examples like the difference between evolutionary and deterministic approaches, he argues for rethinking traditional views on quality and collaboration.

2. Veronika Ilina, Consultant: Quality assurance of… communications!

Communication is a key. But how does it work? Veronika will share strategies for effective communication at work and examine two aspects: the rational side, with a practical checklist to guide you through communication process, and the emotional side, focusing on creating a comfortable and safe space for yourself and others. The session will center on a high-stakes scenario: asking for a salary rase. We invite you not just to listen but to participate in storyline of the talk.

3. Aleksandr Ilin, Consultant: When to Use Chaos Engineering: Exploring the Limits of Applicability

In Aleksandr’s previous session, Chaos Engineering: How We Delegated It to Product Teams, we uncovered the basics of chaos engineering, the tangible benefits it brings, and our journey of empowering product teams with this practice. But a key question remains: When should you start using chaos engineering?

Chaos engineering isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution—it comes with its own costs and challenges. Aleksandr will share practical insights on when chaos engineering truly adds value and when it might not be the best fit. By understanding these trade-offs, you’ll be better equipped to decide the right time to introduce chaos engineering for maximum impact.
