In this talk Alexey Novakov from INNOQ will talk about the available
popular components and technology stack to build Scala-based
microservices.
The talk serves as an introduction and how-to of Scala microservices
and will cover the following topics:
- HTTP servers
- Logging
- CRUD with JDBC
- handling JSON
- Application configuration
- SBT plugins to build docker images
- Creating e2e tests
- the functional approach
- dependency injection
At the end of the talk we will see that the Scala eco-system provides
many mature libraries as well as tooling to create
"highly-maintainable" applications.
Attendees of all levels are welcome, and we can go deeper into those
topics either using questions during the talk or during the free pizza.
