19:00-20:30 Terraform & AWS Hands-on
As a developer, I want to manage and deliver the required infrastructure for my application in the same way as the application itself. It is simply consequent to treat the declaration of the dependent infrastructure of my application as a build artifact just as the source code of the application or its build artifacts.
Terraform is an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool for managing cloud infrastructure. In this workshop, we'll create a cloud infrastructure using Terraform and the cloud provider AWS (Amazon Web Services). In doing so we gonna create three different web applications in the shape of three Docker containers, deploy them into the AWS cloud and make all web applications accessible under public IP addresses.
If you have the prerequisites (Docker, Terraform, AWS Account) installed, please follow the steps on your system. If someone wants to reproduce it at home in peace, they can simply go through the handout.
Speaker: Christopher is working as a Senior Developer for Mayflower for over eight years, developing high-grade web, desktop, and mobile applications with Kotlin, Swift, TypeScript, Java, and PHP.
