Blinking Lights - Programming Hardware @ Gofore
Details
Have you ever wondered how to program a chip in order to control lights? Then this Meetup-Edition is for you!
What Will We Do?
To explore the embedded world, we’ll write firmware for a real-time operating system and control real hardware like LEDs and a pixel display. It’s a hands-on, fun way to see your code interact with the real world instead of just a screen.
What Should I Bring?
A laptop with a checked-out and prepared version of this repository: https://github.com/lazaro-el/embedded-explorer-esp32 ! Be sure to follow the Initial Configuration guidelines as this might take some time (and bandwidth)
Who Can Join?
Everyone who has some interest in programming, especially with hardware. But no prior knowledge on hardware oriented programming is required, just be curious!
We will make sure to pair people with some hardware background to others with none, so everyone can have a great learning experience!
Location & Host
This meetup will be hosted in the Gofore Austria office at Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse 71, 5020 Salzburg.
For the break, expect vegetarian and regular Partybrezen, drinks, and plenty room to chat.
We’re looking forward to having you there!
