Many organizations adopt agile methods (Scrum, SAFe, etc.) at the team level, but still fail to link business value to investment decisions. This gap often results in local optimization rather than true enterprise agility.
Value management shifts the focus from “delivering features faster” to “delivering outcomes that matter.”
In volatile markets, being able to reallocate investments rapidly, stop failing initiatives early, and pivot based on data is a core agility advantage. However, making value management real (beyond buzzwords) requires discipline, culture change, new governance, and alignment between business and IT.
