In stressful times, when we are struggling with this or that, it can be very helpful to do some therapeutic journaling.

Our next WoodWalk is about finding peace and clarity in the woods.

Join our Forest Journaling Workshop in the woods of Graz!

You will learn:

  • How journal writing can be therapeutic
  • Techniques for overcoming the first blank page
  • How being in the forest adds to your well-being

This workshop will be facilitated in English. You can journal in the language of your choice - feel free to write in German or any other language. You only share what you want, your writing is for yourself.

Workshop Facilitator
Kerstin Schachinger is a certified coach and linguist. She has been facilitating workshops for more than 17 years and has plenty of experience with coaching methods which support you in finding clarity and strength, working with language, psychology and mindfulness.

When?
Friday, 17 July, 2026 from 4:45 pm. to approximately 8 pm.
We meet at 4:45pm - please be on time, so we can leave together as a group.

Where?
We meet at the tram station "Waldhof" (tram line 1).
From Graz Hauptbahnhof, you can take tram no. 1 (direction to Mariatrost), which takes around 30 minutes. We will meet you at the tram stop "Waldhof".

There might be SEV (Schienenersatzverkehr), so you might need to change to a bus somewhere along the way. We will send out more information a few days before the event, if that is the case.

How does the route look like?
The route goes through a small canyon in a forest. On hot days, it is especially nice since it is cool in there. Please wear shoes which are allowed to get wet.

What do I need to bring?

  • A pencil and notebook for your journaling
  • A blanket to sit on.
  • A raincoat in case of the possibility of rain
  • Whatever you need to feel comfortable (like water, a snack, a jacket, ...)

Can I bring my dog? Can I bring little kids?

  • Unfortunately not. Our format is a seminar/workshop which focuses on some self reflection in silence. Even though we believe that your dog is super cute and will behave, it would be very hard to manage if several people brought their dogs or little kids.

In case you are a parent, this is a MeTime opportunity :-)

What else do I need to know?

Looking forward to seeing you there! ♡
