Getting to know Sulu CMS

Hi Symfonians,

As next episode of our series to getting to know Symfony-related CMS, we are happy to announce that two members of the Sulu (http://sulu.io/en) core team are coming to Berlin to show us their system. This time we will be hosted by Lidl's digital hub (https://goo.gl/maps/SS3j7UcARxo).

Introduction to Sulu by Johannes Wachter

Sulu is a content management platform built on the Symfony full-stack framework. Sulu's strengths is focus on usability and design - both for frontend, designers and developers - as well as out-of-the-box support for many features for enterprise websites. Being built on Symfony you get every bit of flexibility that you need to build awesome websites and apps. In this talk we will show the basics of Sulu and its content architecture.

As one of the core developers of Sulu Johannes' daily job is improving the backend of Sulu. In his free time he's working on multiple open-source projects.

Leverage the power of a framework based CMS by Thomas Schedler

Sulu is built on top of Symfony. This allows us to reuse its existing architecture, including many interfaces and extension points which enables developers to build entire applications with their individual business logic around our content management solution. And since Sulu is also a plain Symfony application you can start using it and benefit from your Symfony knowledge right from the start.

Thomas is working at MASSIVE ART as head of development and Sulu consultant. He tours Europe extensively to spread the love for Sulu. His twitter handle @chirimoya refers to his longer stay in South America.
