Simply Tuning-in Open Choir!

My name is Jared, I'm from the US, and I'm a professional voice teacher, classical singer, and voice actor. I'm also the organizer of Simply Tuning-in, a singing community in Berlin. We primarily exist as a choir group, but we also occasionally have other singing events such as music classes, open mic nights, and concerts.

We have 2 choir ensembles: an advanced group that is only available to existing members of the group (which includes you, after your first event!), and this event, our open choir.

Anyone can join, and everyone is welcome. You don't need any previous singing experience, or know how to read musical notation. Just bring your enthusiasm for music, and it will be plenty! Also note that we have been a group for several years now, and many regulars come without signing up to the meetup event, so the number signed up might not reflect the final number at the event.

The rehearsals are led in English, but it is important to me that German speakers feel welcome and questions in German are encouraged. I hope that this group will help connect the German and English speaking corners of Berlin.

We also have no mandatory attendance policy. Feel free to hop in for one rehearsal if you like. I adjust the rehearsals to fit the attendance level of the people who come. The more regulars we have, the more challenging the music can be!

I will print and bring sheet music for the songs, so go ahead and just come, you don't need to bring anything!

There is a recommended donation of 10 euros for the rehearsal for those that can donate. Having people that are interested and enthusiastic is the most important thing for me, and if money is an issue, please come. It truly is a donation. Cash, paypal or a bank transfer is all possible for each rehearsal. That information will be at the meetup.
