Gone are the days of wishful thinking, digital innovation has finally accessed the healthcare space and is here to stay! As of summer 2020, Germany pioneers the prescription and reimbursement of medical apps by statutory healthcare insurances, making Germany the first country worldwide to partially accept DTx solutions and medical devices as equal. Apart from the advantageous legislation, a key question for startups and SMEs remains how they can establish themselves in a market that is notoriously static.

In the event, we wish to explore how the opportunities presented by the Digital Healthcare Act (DVG) can be maximized by manufacturers. Therefore we have invited exciting panelists from startups and pharma companies.
Which commercial channels could be pursued? Which partners can ease market access? Can pharma provide support in establishing novel products? With two representatives from both startup and SME side, and pharma, we wish to discuss their respective opinions on these pressing questions.
