Berlin Science Week – Guided Tour: From Blackout to Resilience ⚡
Circle back. Take action. Together.
📅 Thursday, November 5th, 2:00 p.m.
📍 zeemobase, Building 15c, EUREF Campus, Torgauer Straße 12-15, 10829 Berlin
🎟️ Free entry – registration required (see below)
DESCRIPTION
As part of Berlin Science Week, we'll join a guided, research-based tour of zeemobase, a real-life laboratory for climate-neutral energy and mobility infrastructure on the EUREF Campus.
The tour explores a big question: how can cities stay powered during a blackout? We'll see how microgrids, local energy generation, storage, e-mobility charging, and smart energy management work together in a real operating environment, with around 13,000 data points being monitored and tested under real conditions.
FOR WHOM?
• Anyone curious about the energy transition and sustainable cities
• People interested in seeing climate solutions in action, not just in theory
• Professionals and students in sustainability, energy, mobility, or tech
• No technical background needed
WHY?
Resilience and the circular economy go hand in hand: using resources locally, smartly, and efficiently. This tour makes complex concepts tangible, showing how applied research and real infrastructure can create cities that are more resilient, more affordable, and climate-neutral.
