Wahroonga to Mt Ku-ring-gai (Hard)

This is a walk in the Ku-ring-gai Chase NP. From Wahroonga station we head along the Gibberagong track crossing Lover's Jump creek and following the banks of Spring Gully creek. Ascending the Murrua Side trail, we pass through North Turramurra and descend the Sphinx track to Cowan Creek. After following the Warrimoo track along the side of Cowan Creek, we will arrive at Bobbin Head for lunch.

After lunch, we take the Birrawanna Track to Apple Tree bay and then go off-track and follow an old water pipe up to the top of the ridge. After a short walk on the ridge we will arrive at Mt Ku-ring-gai. From there it is a short walk to the station.

Start Location: 9:00am Wahroonga Station (Meet at top of stairs)

Transport: 8:00am Hornsby via Gordon train from Central Station, Platform 16 arrives at Wahroonga station at 8:45am.

Distance: 18Km
Terrain: Sealed Road, Bush Track and Off-track walking.

WHAT TO BRING. Please wear good bushwalking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, first aid kit, picnic lunch and 2L water.
