Underrepresented Hackathon Part II (Main Event)

Do you want to learn how websites work under the hood? Maybe you are working on an App or Website, but don't know how to run it or bring it to production? Or you are just curious about infrastructure in general?
We are a cloud provider and know a lot about Linux, programming and running Software and Systems :) Together we can learn how things work under the hood!
Bonus: We will provide you with free drinks, Pizza and free access to our cloud platform for three months, so you can deepen your learning experience after the Hackathon.
What to expect:
This hackathon series is for women, everyone identifying LGBTQI, People of Colour and People with disabilities who have some basic experience regarding Linux or programming. It is free of charge.
We will learn how to maintain infrastructure and deploying your own app using GitLab CI, Docker, Terraform and Packer.
Our mentors Anna and Steffen will welcome you and help you with that.
It will not be a workshop where every single step is prepared in advance – we will help you along the way. You will have the freedom to focus e.g. only on Docker, or only on Terraform, if you want that :)
Agenda:
12:00 – Intro, Installing necessary tools & getting access to SysEleven Cloud
13:00 – Beginning of the Hackathon

18:00 – End of the Hackathon, Presentation, Drinks
Requirements:
- You should have some basic experience regarding Linux or programming. This could mean, that you have already used non-graphical User Interfaces before, such as a terminal or you are familiar with any kind of programming language.
Please bring your own laptop.
Our facilities are wheelchair accessible, and there is also a wheelchair accessible lavatory.
We speak English and German.
