Cumbia Concert @Semana Latinamericana

As every year, the Semana Latinamericana festival comes with a lot of performances from Latin America. It‘s a privately organised Initiative, funded by different sponsors and donations collected during the event.

Tonight‘s concert is the famous Mexican band Cañaveral, playing Cumbia music (the founder is Colombian-born). Their career spans 30 years and their music/videos had 3 billion streams worldwide.

We meet in the lobby 18:50 to gather and meet new people, and then move into the big Aula (straight ahead from the entrance) once the concert starts (scheduled for 19:00 but a bit of delay is not uncommon in such events).

During a concert break we gather outside in the reception area where usually drinks/ small snacks are on offer. Consider early dinner as there won’t be a proper dinner offered and the nearest restaurants are not around the corner.

Though the music is in Spanish, this event is not for Spanish speakers only, if you don’t mind that a lot a Spanish will be spoken at the venue.
