The popular Saturday drinks/picnic sundowner event is back to the lawn close to Maincafe!

Standing with your back to the river facing the Maincafe bar, you need to walk between 20-100m to the right and find us on the lawn. It’s not directly at Maincafe! For orientation- the lampposts right by the river have numbers at ~2.5m altitude. At the start of the event we indicate location using lamppost numbers, usually close to number 28 or 29

The concept of this Meetup is a little picnic and drinks and a relaxed chat while enjoying the sunset over the Frankfurt skyline. A blanket/towel can be an asset given birds also flock on the lawn. You can totally bring your own drinks and food (and share some if you like) but also get drinks and snacks at Maincafe. A full dinner is not part of the event given restaurants are a bit of a walk from the venue. But there could be a late dinner group or continuation of the Meetup in another venue, which can be spontaneously decided. You can also join the event at a later hour, after dinner. Though Maincafe accepts card payment, it is strongly recommended to bring some cash! Please bring bottles, packaging etc to the wastebins before leaving the event.

This is the perfect Meetup if you’re new in town, keen to meet people from all over the world, or open-minded Germans. Exchange travel plans, new ideas and hints what’s there to do in Frankfurt, find new best friends and practice your languages (main language is English, but German, Spanish, French, Italian and sometimes Russian, Arabic, Mandarin and other languages can be practiced). Note that this is not a dating event and any insistent approaching of participants that might make them feel uncomfortable will not be tolerated. That‘s not to say singles aren’t welcome, we had a couple of relationships and one marriage so far following first encounters at this event.

This Meetup is outdoors and therefore relies on decent weather. In case of cold or rainy weather, it will be moved to a bar close to the city centre tba or possibly cancelled.
