Movie „A sad and beautiful world“@Lichterfilmfest
Details
To offer something for you on each day of the long weekend, let’s watch one of the movies of the Lichter Film Festival in the great venue of the movie theatre within the Filmmuseum.
Tonight‘s movie won the people‘s award at last year’s Venice movie festival. It is a drama, accompanying two lovers through three turbulent decades in Lebanon, with lots of references to societal and political events during that time, a very touching movie that comes timely now that Lebanon is in an even worse state. The movie is shown in Arabic with English subtitles
Everybody please get your own tickets (9.80€ incl fees) at https://Lichter-Filmfest.de. Screenings before 7pm and at this venue are usually not extremely popular, so buying a ticket at the box office may be possible but sell-out can still not be excluded, I therefore recommend to buy the ticket 2-3 days before the screening
We meet in the lobby of the Museum to have a chat and proceed downstairs close to the beginning of the movie (or a bit earlier if there’s many people. You can buy drinks and snacks at the venue. After the movie we can gather again in the lobby to exchange reviews (and maybe spontaneously have a drink somewhere else)
