Let’s explore the biggest Festival of Frankfurt this weekend, the Museumsuferfest. This is actually centered around the Museums but the crowds mostly are flocking around the 13 stages along the river.

Apologies for the concert selection being biased towards Latin Rock, but other options seemed either too much commuting across the festival or not everyone’s taste (Metalcore etc). The below is the itinerary - as also shown on the attached map

18:30 gathering at Kult-Net Bühne, see Event-Location on map. This is close to but NOT AT Main-Nizza Restaurant, the first big stage you hit walking from Untermainbrücke towards Holbeinsteg. Basically exactly on the other side of the river from Maincafe. There is a concert of Latin Rock band Yerba Colora, with a nice female singer and an energetic Combo around her.

19:40 After the concert, we shortly walk along the Festival towards the centre and cross the Untermainbrücke to the Sachsenhausen side. At the first stage to the left, Rheinland Pfalz Weinbühne, there is another Latin-Rock concert with different music, by Makia, a Cuban-Mexican combo, starting ~8pm. This side is also where the food stalls are up by the street, so you can sneak out to grab some food/drinks during the concert. BRING CASH!

21:20 we leave the concert and the riverbanks, go up, cross Schaumainkai and move to the eastern end of the Metzlerpark. The Barrio del Europa festival is actually a separate festival. We watch the performance of Midnight Fire, a very nice Jazz-Rock band. They also sell drinks/food there.

After this concert, we can spontaneously decide whether to go back to the river for DJs or stay at El Barrio for another concert

This is the perfect Meetup if you’re new in town, keen to meet people from all over the world, or open-minded Germans. Exchange travel plans, new ideas and hints what’s there to do in Frankfurt, find new best friends and practice your languages (main language is English, but German, Spanish, French, Italian and sometimes Russian, Arabic, Mandarin and other languages can be practiced). Note that this is not a dating event and any insistent approaching of participants that might make them feel uncomfortable will not be tolerated.
