Saturday evening excursion to Mainz wine festival




This is another joint event with our dear friends of the Wiesbaden Socializing Meetup (and last one for this season). This time we will taste some wine in the beautiful city park of Mainz!

Since 86 years the event takes place in one of the unique and beautiful surroundings of Mainz, only around the weekends end-Aug and early September.

Take the chance for a relaxing, romantic and beautiful wine evening with known and new friends and socialise while having wines from different wineries welcoming you. And if you get hungry there are plenty of foods supplied in this area. There are also 2 live music stages with cover bands.

Prople from frankfurt can meet in the front car of RE3 departing 18:09 from Frankfurt main station, we need to change at Mainz to RB75 to arrive 18:52 at mainz Römisches Theater station. You can meet us 19:00 up the hill by the street leading towards the park, not the city side. If you would like to share a group ticket, please flag beforehand.
There is wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks as well as different food options. Please make sure to bring some cash! Return connection is always at 9 past the full hour, a possible choice would be 22:09, via Wiesbaden, but can be decided flexibly, e.g. 21:09 if the weather is cold (but the event is open till 1am). Location within the venue will be communicated on this page.

This is the perfect Meetup if you’re new in town, keen to meet people from all over the world, or open-minded Germans. Exchange travel plans, new ideas and hints what’s there to do in Frankfurt, find new best friends and practice your languages (main language is English, but German, Spanish, French, Italian and sometimes Russian, Arabic, Mandarin and other languages can be practiced).
