If you've ever felt like the speed of life just keeps going faster, whether it be the inbox, the never-ending plans, or the pressure — this is a conversation for you.

Common Ground is a monthly Berlin community gathering exploring how we connect, communicate, love, and learn amidst life's transitions.
We talk about the sorts of things that usually aren't said. From belongingness, identity, rest, relationships, ambition, joy all with gentleness, curiosity, and honesty!

In this issue, we explore slowing down not as a luxury for us, but as a necessity. How rest and slowing down can perhaps prevent burnout! We'll look at why we rush, what we pay for it, and how to recover the slower-moving parts of ourselves.

What can I expect?
A relaxed and interactive afternoon with part discussion, part reflection, parts experiment in stillness. Through facilitated conversation, creative exercises, and small group discussion, we'll explore questions like:
- What happens when you stop rushing?
- How do we differentiate between simple stillness and stagnation?
- What does "enough" look like for you today?
- How do we make space for rest, guilt-free?
You'll be guided through periods of laughter, introspection, and gentle sharing, with space to simply listen if that's what you're needing.
There will be tea, community, and permission to simply be.

We meet on Sunday, the 23rd of November at 3PM, for a total of 2 hours.
Donation-based :)

Who is this event for?
Of course everyone is welcome; all genders, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you've been in Berlin for years or moved here last week, just come as you are.
This event is a safe, supportive space to share your experiences and ideas.

What should I bring?
Just you, and maybe something that reminds you to take it slow — a small notebook, a photo, a cup you love, or simply your curiosity (optional, of course).

Do I have to share?
Not if you don't want to. You can talk, listen, or just take in the conversation. All we ask is that you listen carefully with patience and intention, to make room for other people's stories.

You don't have to have the answers.
You don't even have to slow down precisely.
All that is needed is that you appear as you are; and maybe, together, we can discover again the rhythm that feels like home.
