"Building Resilient Developer Platforms: Strategies for Overcoming Challenges and Crafting Future-Proof Solutions"
Everyone wants to build successful developer platforms. And by now many understand that the main goal is to enable developers. However, reality for many platform teams means they rarely get to focus on that goal. Exponential growth and speed of the CNCF ecosystem; understaffing; and the risk of focusing on technologies vs. capabilities are just a handful of the challenges that platform teams face.
Puja's talk will discuss some of the challenges and risks and suggest guidance into how to solve or mitigate them. Solutions will span both product management principles as well as guidance on how to make the right technological or architectural design and tool choices to enable platform teams to build highly integrated platforms that will stand the test of time.
