The Carnival of Cultures (Karneval der Kulturen) is Berlin at its absolute best—vibrant, diverse, and filled with kinetic energy.

As the festival reaches its main day on Sunday, May 25th, The ISO Club is heading to Friedrichshain to capture the ultimate finale of this incredible celebration.

We are meeting at 13:30 PM at Frankfurter Allee (a concrete meeting location will be provided soon) to document the music, the street styles, the crowds, and the closing energy of the 30th anniversary of the carnival. Whether you are a street photographer, a portrait enthusiast, or a videographer making reels, this is the perfect canvas to push your creativity.

🎥 The Collaborative Documentary Project:
After the event, we are producing a massive collective photo/video recap to showcase the event through the diverse lenses of our community. By joining this meetup, you agree to contribute a selection of your best shots and video clips. We will compile them into a definitive community documentary on our main channels.

📅 Itinerary:

  • 13:30 PM: Meetup at our designated spot near
Frankfurter Allee (precise location pinned in our WhatsApp chat). Briefing and splitting into smaller shooting groups.
  • 13:45 PM – 6:00 PM: Street exploration, portrait hunting, and video capture around the festival grounds.
  • 6:00 PM onwards: Optional casual wrap-up drinks nearby to swap notes, talk gear, and chill.

❗ Guidelines & Socials:

  • What to bring: Your camera setup (or smartphone with good video capabilities), comfortable walking shoes, and plenty of storage/battery power!
  • Asset Sharing: Upload your favorite final selects to our community folders (Discord/WhatsApp).
  • Tagging: When posting your own coverage, make sure to tag and mention @the_isoclub and @_portraitscenter.
