📸 New Formula: Portray or Be Portrayed!
The sibling to our popular Portray & Be Portrayed event, Portray or Be Portrayed introduces two dedicated participation roles.
đź“· Photographer
For creators who want to focus entirely on lighting, composition, and directing people.
🙋 Model
For anyone who wants to be photographed, build a modelling portfolio, create professional headshots, develop creative projects, or simply leave with great portraits.
Unlike our previous format, participants join either as a Photographer or as a Model.
To ensure plenty of shooting opportunities, Photographers will work in small groups of 3–4 people, while Models rotate between the groups throughout the event.
đź“· Photography & Image Rights
This is a Time for Photos (TFP) event. By registering for and/or participating in this event, you agree that other participants and the organizer may photograph and film you and may use those images as described below. In return, Photographers agree to provide the people they photograph with a selection of edited images. Please read the complete Photography & Image Rights Agreement at the end of this event description before registering for and/or participating in this event.
📍 Location
We’ll be photographing around the striking architecture and ambient light of Berlin’s Government District (Regierungsviertel).
🍽️ Post-Event Social Lunch
After the shoot, we’ll head to Zollpackhof to review images, exchange feedback, and simply enjoy spending time together.
đź“‹ Participation Requirements
đź“· Photographers
This event is intended for Intermediate to Advanced portrait photographers.
Please have a portrait portfolio available that demonstrates previous experience.
🙋 Models
Before registering, please send the organizers a recent photo together with the outfits you plan to wear during the event. We will review them and respond as quickly as possible.
🎟️ Registration
Participation is free of charge.
Voluntary donations are greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps The ISO Club continue organizing free community events.
Models must contact the organizers and receive confirmation before registering.
📤 After the Event
Photographers agree to:
• provide each Model they photograph with a selection of fully edited images within 14 days after the event;
• ensure that this selection includes every image the Photographer subsequently publishes or otherwise makes publicly available;
• deliver the images as fully edited JPEG files with a resolution of at least 12 megapixels;
• tag the respective Model whenever reasonably possible; and
• tag @the_isoclub and @_portraitscenter when sharing images from this event.
We recommend using Picflow for image delivery.
đź“· Photography & Image Rights Agreement (TFP)
1. Nature of the Event
This event is conducted on a Time for Photos (TFP) basis.
For the purposes of this agreement:
• a Photographer is any participant who creates photographs or video during the event; and
• a Model is any participant depicted in photographs or video,
regardless of the role in which they registered for or participated in the event.
Participation constitutes an exchange: Photographers create and provide edited photographs, while Models grant Photographers permission to use those photographs as described below.
Participation in this event is conditional upon acceptance of this agreement.
2. Photography & Video
By registering for and/or participating in this event, you expressly consent to being photographed and filmed by other participants and by the organizers.
The organizers may also record behind-the-scenes (BTS) photographs and video during the event.
3. Copyright
Copyright and all intellectual property rights remain exclusively with the respective Photographer or videographer.
Nothing in this agreement transfers copyright ownership.
4. Image Delivery
Each Photographer agrees to provide each Model they photograph with a selection of fully edited images within 14 days after the event.
The delivered selection must include every image that the Photographer subsequently publishes or otherwise makes publicly available.
Images shall be delivered:
• fully edited;
• in JPEG format; and
• with a resolution of at least 12 megapixels.
Photographers are welcome to provide additional edited images at their discretion.
5. Permitted Use
Models grant Photographers permission to use the photographs for their own artistic and self-promotional purposes, including:
• portfolios;
• personal or professional websites;
• social media;
• exhibitions;
• competitions;
• publications;
• lectures and educational presentations; and
• promotion of the Photographer’s own artistic or professional work.
For the purposes of this agreement, displaying photographs on a professional photography website or using them to promote the Photographer’s own photographic services constitutes self-promotional use, not commercial exploitation.
Photographs may not be sold, licensed to unrelated third parties, used in advertising campaigns for third-party products or services, or otherwise commercially exploited beyond the permissions granted by this agreement without any additional consent required under applicable law.
6. Behind-the-Scenes Material
The organizer may use BTS photographs and BTS video for:
• social media;
• promotion of The ISO Club;
• future events; and
• documentation and educational purposes relating to The ISO Club.
7. Courtesy
Although this agreement grants permission to publish photographs, Photographers are encouraged to involve the Model when selecting images whenever reasonably practical.
Likewise, participants are encouraged to raise any concerns regarding individual photographs respectfully and promptly.
8. Duration of Permission
The permissions granted under this agreement are intended to be permanent and of unlimited duration.
Participants acknowledge that Photographers and the organizer invest considerable time and resources in creating, editing, publishing, exhibiting, and promoting their work in reliance upon these permissions.
Accordingly, participants agree not to revoke or withdraw the permissions granted under this agreement after the event and waive any right to do so to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this agreement limits mandatory legal rights that cannot legally be waived.
9. Responsibility
Each Photographer remains individually responsible for complying with all applicable laws relating to the publication and use of photographs.
The ISO Club and its organizers are not responsible for photographs independently published by participants.
