This is the space to vent your feelings about it.
Every week, comedians Bryan Lee and Moe Singleton take the stage to unpack life as outsiders, offering their unique commentary on topics like race, masculinity, relationships, and life between cultures.

🎟️ Want to warm up before the show?

Reclue - das klug machende Unterscheidungs-Spiel
(English below)
\*\*\* english version \*\*\*
"Can a whale be a parakeet?"
\~> Of course not!
"Can a window be a drink?"
\~> Everyone knows that's impossible.
"Can a democracy be a republic?"
"Can a conjecture be an opinion?"
"Is grasping something the same as understanding something?"
\~> Well, now it gets tricky!
And it gets exciting...
Nothing stimulates thought quite like this new party game.
The rules:
1. Everyone writes a term on a slip of paper.
2. The slips of paper are drawn in pairs.
3. We project the meaning of the two words onto the wall using a projector.
4. Everyone can add to/edit the meaning using a laptop or smartphone, and must provide examples of why something could be the same, or could never be the same.
5. After a while, no one can think of anything else. The differences and similarities between the two words are clearly highlighted.
Then the score is tallied:
(+1) Each new entry adding meaning earns one point.
(-2) However, each deleted entry deducts two points.
(+5) Each improvement on the existing meaning in Reclue earns five points.
The understanding of all players becomes much clearer, especially with frequent play.
And the winners with the highest score receive the prize of the day.
The game also works in multiple languages.
The location will be published soon.

Hi, I am Zoe, a software engineer by profession. I have been running this support group since a year 😇
What to expect in the circle:
\- The first 45 minutes we can spend to get coffee and settle down
\- On a volunteer basis\, each of the attendee will then get some time to share things that they are dealing with\, perhaps for 2\-5 minutes
\- You can skip sharing even if you are in a circle\, there's no force \(and there will never be\) on you to share\, staying silent and listening is completely ok
\- Attendees can recommend books or reading material if they like

Oscar Watch International: THE SECRET AGENT at the Gateway Film Center!
Join us as we get the New Year started with one of the best films of the year: THE SECRET AGENT! This political thriller from Brazil is set in 1977 where a man flees from a mysterious past and returns to his hometown but soon finds the city is far from being the refuge he seeks. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: In 1977, a former professor flees from a mysterious past and returns to his hometown of Recife in search of peace. He soon realizes that the city is far from being the refuge he seeks. The film stars Wagner Moura, Carlos Francisco, Tânia Maria, Robério Diógenes, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Gabriel Leone and Udo Kier in his final film role.
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UfrzDKrhEc

At this year’s Golden Globes, it became Brazil’s first film ever to be nominated for Best Film (Drama)! It also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Film, a Best Actor nomination for Wagner Moura and was selected as Brazil’s entry for Best International Film at this year’s Academy Awards. The film is receiving an incredible 99% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes where critics say, its “compelling script, impeccable acting, and striking 1970s aesthetic” make it “impossible to look away!” Critics say The Secret Agent is “one of the few standout movies of the year” and the Chicago Tribune calls it a “masterpiece of a film” and “the best film of the year!”

The film is a reimagining of the 1997 original. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMsFsfrPNaw

Timothee Chalamet immediately shot to the top of the Best Actor race with a “career best performance” in a film described as an “awe inspiring cinematic tour-de-force!” Others call it, “an absolute blast of adrenaline” and a “pure delight,” “that soars from start to finish!” The film is earning a Certified Fresh 96% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes where Variety calls it, “one of the year’s few masterpieces!” Slash Film declares, “This is unquestionably the best performance of Timothée Chalamet's career, and Marty Supreme is one of the best movies of the year. I can't wait to watch it again!”
PLAN: For MARTY SUPREME at the Drexel, please purchase your ticket for the 3:30pm showing and we’ll meet in the lobby area between 3:10 and 3:20pm! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but be sure to mention you’re with the Movie Group for admission and concession discounts! Buzz and excitement for the film are off the charts and (aside from a pair of great international films), this will be our last major Oscar Watch film of the season! BRUNCH BEFORE THE SHOW: We'll plan for Brunch before the show at the Columbus Brewing Company Beer Hall, located a short distance away. Movie is open as long as tickets are available. Seating is limited so separate RSVP required for the Brunch portion of this event.
