I train @ My Pace - with Jason
-Outdoor Functional Training for All Fitness Levels-
Join us as we combine healthy, balanced movement with fun, gamified ideas to give you our unique FUNctional training! And in case that doesn’t really tell you what to expect, just think short intervals of exercise combined together in a playful and interactive way to help you strengthen your body in a sustainable way while allowing you to meet new people (and often even forget how hard you’re working out).
As a reminder for those nervous about their fitness level: Everything we do, we do with all fitness levels in mind; so the exercises are always adjustable to your level and you’re always strongly encouraged to take it at your own pace - I mean, we’re not called My Pace for nothing!
How to find us: We meet and train behind the calisthenics workout station on the Zirkuswiese of the Prater. Here a link to the location on Google maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/QdRPEaYTiavZbmVW7
Cost: In the interest of inclusivity, we've decided to make our sessions donations based here, so you're invited to pay what you can afford. If that actually makes you more uncomfortable and doesn't make it easier to come, know that we've received donations from €2 to €20 and they all made us very happy, because our primary goal is to get people moving and to show them it can be fun all in all. The money is secondary.
One other thing that’s useful to know:
- In the case of bad weather, we do have a back-up location that will protect us from the rain. Should we need to move, we will change the location of this event here. Please feel free to check back here before any event where you suspect bad weather or, even better, simply get in touch with us! We’re available via WhatsApp message or email.

Monday Night Laughs: Vienna’s English stand-up open mic! Watch & perform every Monday at The Comedy Pub. Free entry, cozy vibe, endless laug
Vienna’s English Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic – Every Monday at The Comedy Pub
## 😂 Mondays Don’t Have to Suck
The weekend might be over — but the laughter doesn’t stop.
Welcome to **Monday Night Laughs**, Vienna’s cozy and community-driven **English stand-up comedy open mic**, where locals, expats, and travelers come together to kick off the week with big laughs and good vibes.
Every Monday night, *The Comedy Pub Vienna* turns into a creative playground for comedians and comedy lovers alike.
Whether it’s your first time at a show or your tenth, you’ll feel right at home.
Forget Netflix. Forget the Monday blues.
This is your weekly reminder that laughter fixes everything — especially on a Monday.
## 🎭 What Is *Monday Night Laughs*?
It’s not a fancy showcase or a big-ticket headliner night. It’s something much better — it’s *real*.
Here, the mic is open, the drinks are cold, and the laughter is honest.
You’ll see comedians from all over the world — from total beginners testing their first five minutes to experienced performers working out new jokes for their next tour.
No two shows are ever the same. One moment you’ll hear a joke about Austrian bureaucracy, the next about dating disasters in Spain or cultural shocks in Tokyo.
It’s raw, spontaneous, and absolutely unpredictable — the way live comedy is meant to be.
And because it’s all happening in English, the night draws a wonderfully mixed crowd: locals, internationals, and everyone in between.
## 🎙️ For Performers
If you’ve ever thought, *“I could do that,”* this is your sign.
*Monday Night Laughs* is one of Vienna’s most supportive and encouraging open mics for new comedians.
No judgment, no pressure — just a room full of people who love to laugh and want you to succeed.
It’s the perfect place to try stand-up for the first time, or to test new material before your next big show.
The vibe is friendly, relaxed, and full of creative energy — comedy at its purest form.
Sign-up is open before the show — come early, grab a drink, and put your name down. Who knows? You might be the next crowd favorite.
## 🎤 For the Audience
If you just want to watch, you’re in for a treat.
This is one of Vienna’s most authentic live experiences — a place where you can laugh, relax, and see the future stars of stand-up before they blow up.
You’ll witness comedy in its rawest form: jokes being born, ideas taking shape, and performers finding their voice.
Sometimes it’s perfect, sometimes it’s weird — but it’s *always* fun.
Grab a beer, find a seat, and enjoy a night full of unpredictable laughter.
## 🍻 The Atmosphere
The Comedy Pub isn’t just a venue — it’s a community.
It’s the heart of Vienna’s growing stand-up scene, a space where people come together to connect, perform, and laugh without judgment.
The audience cheers each performer, the comedians support one another, and the whole night feels like hanging out with friends who happen to be hilarious.
It’s the kind of Monday night you’ll want to make a tradition.
## 📍 The Venue: The Comedy Pub Vienna
📍 **Kettenbrückengasse 7, 1050 Vienna**
Nestled in the heart of Vienna’s 5th district, *The Comedy Pub* is the city’s only dedicated stand-up comedy club — a cozy Irish-style bar with warm lighting, a friendly crowd, and the perfect stage for laughter.
🍻 A full bar with great drinks
🎭 Intimate setting with front-row energy
🌍 A melting pot of locals, expats & travelers
🪑 First come, first seated – so come early!
## 📅 Event Details

**Monday Night Laughs** is more than a show — it’s a community, a creative space, and the friendliest way to start your week in Vienna.
So come for the comedy, stay for the connections, and leave with sore cheeks from laughing.

Two Castles & Türkensturz: Scenic Hike with Optional Museum Visit
Hi everyone,
On **Sunday, April 12**, 2026, Christian and I are planning a spring hike from Seebenstein to Grimmenstein.
This hike is all about walking, wide views, and enjoying the landscape together with plenty of time for conversation, short breaks, and simply being outdoors.
**Highlights**
* 🏰 **Seebenstein Castle & Museums-Burg Grimmenstein** — history and views combined
* ⛰️ **Türkensturz rock formation** with one of the best viewpoints in the area
* 🌿 **Varied landscape** with forest paths, open sections, and gentle climbs
* 🌄 **Wide views** across the region at several points along the route
**Meeting Point & Travel**
📍 **Meeting point:** Praterstern station at **08:15 a.m.**, near the ticket machines
We will take the 08:42 a.m. train to Wr. Neustadt and change there to a local train. Expected arrival time in Seebenstein is 09:59 a.m.
Trains back from Petersbaumgarten and Edlitz-Grimmenstein run every hour
**Hike Options**
We offer **two participation options**, depending on your preference and fitness level.
Both groups will start together in Seebenstein and walk the same route up to Petersbaumgarten. More information on the trails is in the album photos below.
###
**Option 1 - Shorter Hike (ending in Petersbaumgarten)**
* **Distance:** approx. 15 km
* **Elevation:** approx. 450 m ascent
* **Walking time:** approx. 4.5–5 hours
* **Includes highlights:** Türkensturz and Seebenstein Castle
* **Does not include:** Burg Grimmenstein and the castle museum
* **Difficulty:** **Easy** but requires basic fitness
**Important:** Participation in a shared *Einfach-Raus-Ticket* from Petersbaumgarten is only possible if other participants also plan to finish there **and this has been communicated in advance**. Otherwise, individual tickets will be required.
**Option 2 - Full Hike (continuing to Grimmenstein)**
* **Distance:** approx. 19.2 km
* **Elevation:** approx. 814 m ascent
* **Walking time:** approx. 6 hours
* **Includes all highlights:** Türkensturz, Seebenstein Castle, and Burg Grimmenstein
* **Optional:** Visit to the Burg Grimmenstein museum at the end of the hike
**Optional museum Visit**
**Burg Grimmenstein (Museums-Burg Grimmenstein)** is a historic hilltop castle overlooking the surrounding landscape. Today, it hosts a small museum that offers insight into regional history and castle life. From the site, you can enjoy wide views over the Bucklige Welt.
https://www.burg-grimmenstein.at/besichtigungen.html
* **Museum entry:** €5 per person (Cash)
**What to Expect**
We’ll walk together at a **relaxed, social pace**, staying as a group throughout the day.
This is **not a race or performance hike** — the focus is on shared experience, conversation, and enjoying the landscape at an unhurried rhythm.
We’ll take regular short breaks whenever useful.
🥪 We don’t plan to stop at huts or restaurants during the hike, so please bring your own snacks and drinks (at least **1.5 liters of water**).
🌧️ Weather can be changeable, so **basic rain protection is recommended**.
🥾 Please wear **sturdy hiking shoes**. Some sections may be muddy, depending on the weather.
Please note that **there are no public toilets on the trail itself.**
🧢 Please bring **sun protection** (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), especially on warm or sunny days.
**Important Notes**
⚠️ **Disclaimer:** As always, this is a free, private leisure activity. I’m not a certified hiking guide, and participation is at your own responsibility and risk.
I will send a **weather update on Friday evening** to everyone registered.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Looking forward to sharing this hike with you!
Jörg
**\*The "Einfach-raus" Group Ticket**
We will use a group ticket, and it requires some coordination:
**How it works:**
It is one ticket for a group of 2–5 people.
We will form these groups at the meeting point at 08:15; please be on time if you want to participate.
You must travel together for both the departure and the return journey.
You cannot split off and take a different train home if you are on a group ticket.
**The cost:**
The more people in a group, the cheaper it gets.
Expect to pay between €10 and €19 per person.
To be fair, we can either pay by specific group size or pool all the money and split it equally.
**Cash is mandatory:**
Please bring physical cash and coins.
We need to collect the money before buying the tickets to make sure everyone gets their change back quickly.
**Information regarding this ticket:**
[https://www.oebb.at/en/tickets-kundenkarten/freizeit-urlaub/einfach-raus-ticket](https://www.oebb.at/en/tickets-kundenkarten/freizeit-urlaub/einfach-raus-ticket)
If you prefer not to be tied to a group, or if you aren’t sure when you want to head back to Vienna, do not join the group ticket.
Instead, buy the VOR Freizeitticket; it costs €19.90 for the day in Lower Austria.
This will also be your option if you arrive too late for the group ticket or one group doesn't have enough participants for a group ticket.

Table de conversation en francais @ Café Merkur
A mercredi alors!
Walk & Talk Wien
**ACHTUNG!
**Do you speak English? Then welcome to Walk & Talk!**
This event is suited for all people who like to connect to other people and like to walk. The beauty of this regular event is that you are in the nature and you walk around 7 kilometers. In the meantime, if you feel for it, you talk, if not, you just walk. You do something for your health, get to know new people and you will feel much better.
It’s FREE, all you need to do is to show up this Tuesday at no later than 1 pm at the U6 Spittelau exit to Donaukanal.
Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows,
Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us!
Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast.
Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too.
What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :)
We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast!
Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45.
We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier.
Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup.
Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

Hike Gertrude S. Lawrence Hoover Nature Preserve near Galena
This trail is a meandering path through the woods. There will be some overlooks and a couple stops at the creek as well as time along a waterway. It will not be a fast paced hike. There is some elevation change and uneven terrain. I will be using poles just to be safe! Will aim to get in about three miles.
Optional lunch after if there is an interest.
French conversation club
Bienvenue! Columbus French Conversation group invites you to our Saturday morning French conversation club. Expect a casual and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn french! I will bring my laptop so we can look up new vocabulary as needed! The venue is a beautiful French restaurant so you can really get into the zone :)
