Du wirst in diesem lockeren Kunstgeschichte Kurs direkt vor den Originalen Meisterwerken im Kunsthistorischen Museum Wien einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Epochen der Kunstgeschichte von der Kunst des Mittelalters bis ins 18. Jahrhundert bekommen und wirst fortan Kunst in allen Ausstellungen anders sehen und verstehen und Zusammenhänge besser erkennen können. Jede Woche wenden wir uns einer Epoche zu und einem der wichtigsten Werke von einem der bedeutendsten Künstler im Kunsthistorischen Museum. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich, der Kurs ist aber auch für Fortgeschrittene gut besuchbar. Alles wird in lockerem Beisammensein vor den Bildern stattfinden, anschließend stehen das wunderschöne Café in der Kuppelhalle im Museum und die vielen netten Lokale in nächster Nähe für weiteres Beisammensein zur Verfügung und natürlich kann man auch einfach noch weiter alleine oder mit alten und den neuen Bekannten sich selbständig im Museum noch mehr anschauen. **The Mezze Table – A Cultural Dinner with Meaningful Conversations** **Some of the best conversations in life happen around a table.** **The Mezze Table is a structured social event where we come together to share food and real conversations.** **The evening is gently guided with a few thoughtful conversation prompts that help people connect more naturally.** **Only 10 seats are available.** **At the center of the table we share traditional Lebanese mezze such as Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, and Tabbouleh.** **The word mezze itself comes from the Mediterranean and refers to a collection of small dishes served together. But the idea behind the Mezze Table goes a bit further.** **Just like a mezze table brings together different flavors, this evening brings together a mix of cultures, languages, experiences, and ideas.** **Meals in the Middle East are rarely eaten alone. Food is shared, stories are exchanged, and conversations often go deeper than the usual “What do you do for work?”** **To make the evening welcoming for everyone, we start with a few simple introductions and then explore a couple of conversation prompts during the dinner.** **Past prompts have included questions like:** **• What place in the world has changed how you see life?** **• What is a tradition from your culture that people should know about?** **• What are some gestures in your culture people often misunderstand?** **What to expect** **• Shared Lebanese mezze** **• A small international group (max. 10 guests)** **• Conversations in English** **• A relaxed evening with thoughtful dialogue and cultural exchange** **Hosted by Lydia** **I work in leadership and resilience training and spend much of my professional life helping people have better conversations.** **Over time I noticed something simple: the most interesting conversations rarely happen in meeting rooms.** **They happen around tables.** **The Mezze Table is a small experiment in bringing people together through food, culture, and curiosity.** **Contribution** **€15 includes the mezze.**

We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!

Private Group. Closed to the Public Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy. In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected. The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc.. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
