Rhetorik Training - Mut & Rede TM Neukölln - wg.
It highlights Rwanda’s growing role as a strategic tech location, where international companies and local teams co-create products with shared ownership and responsibility. Drawing on real-world experiences from Rwandan developers working in international teams, the discussion showcases how these collaborations move beyond execution to include active contribution to product design and decision-making. It features Garage B, which supports startups in building the digital solutions they need while providing hands-on experience and project work opportunities for Rwandan junior developers through these collaborations. **Angel Gwiza** is a Rwandan Product Lead working with startups within Garage B to design and implement MVP solutions. Monday Men – live circle
Monday Men – live circle
**Live men's circle** **April to June 2026, twice a month** After a long stretch without a space for regular, in-person circles, we're finally able to offer a **new, live men's circle in Berlin**. Many of you have asked for this over the past couple of years — a chance to meet face to face, sit together and talk in real time. The **Monday Men** circle offers a chance for that. From April through June we meet every two weeks, for two hours on a Monday evening. A closed group, with a maximum of eight participants, to encourage familiarity, trust and continuity. All the dates are: **April 13** & **27**, **May 11** & **25**, **June 8** & **22** There's a cost involved, which has been kept as low as possible, and it's only for the use of the room we'll have. A total **40 €** from each man covers all **six sessions** for all **three months**. You can attend as many sessions as you like. After the first three months, the group can choose what comes next. There could be a summer break, or the group may decide to continue. **This could be useful for you if you'd like to...** * Connect in person with other men in Berlin * Build real-life bonds, especially if you’re new to the city or to the Berlin Men’s Group * Explore ideas and challenges that matter to you * Look more closely at your experiences and how you express them * Experience a low-pressure introduction to men’s work **What we'll do...** For those who already know the online men’s circles, some parts of this format may feel familiar. As in the online format, the sessions always include: * **Welcome** – greeting and orientation from the host * **Opening round** – describing briefly what things are like for you * **Sharing round** – expanding on your thoughts, speaking freely * **Deepening round** – a chance to offer each other questions * **Open discussion** – explore what emerges together * **Closing round** – share what you take away from the session In addition, the live format allows for a few extra elements: * **Partnered conversation** * **A topic of the week**, chosen by the group * **A little movement**, such as stretching or short breaks to move around and reset attention As always - no prior experience neccessary, no preparation needed. Just walk in and grab a seat. **About me, the host...** I’m Hans. I've been co-organising the Berlin Men's Group with Peter and the others for five years now. In that time I've become a certified systemic counsellor, specialised in supporting men. For these circles my style will be practical and down-to-earth. I help hold the structure, keep things on track, and support the group so that each man can explore what matters to him in his own way. I'll be aiming for a space where men can speak honestly, listen to each other, and look at important things without it feeling heavy or complicated. If you’re curious but not sure if this feels right for you at the moment, you’re welcome to send me a message here on Meetup or email request@zigmal.org. You can ask me anything you like. *This group is being logistically supported by BMG partner project [Zigmal e.V.](www.zigmal.org), a volunteer association that focuses on strengthening men through social connection and free counselling.*

Film Financing & Funding - A Practical Overview for Filmmakers
Film Financing & Funding - A Practical Overview for Filmmakers
**BerlinFilmMakers & Indiefilmtalk presents: Film Financing & Funding – A Practical Overview for Filmmakers** **Hey there,** Great film ideas rarely fail because of creativity – they often fail because of financing. But what funding opportunities actually exist? And why does film financing seem so complex to many filmmakers? **What to expect:** In this free workshop, Indiefilmtalks Yugen Yah will give a short introduction to the landscape of film financing and public funding. We will look at different funding models, explain why factors such as regional funding requirements, reference funding, and bureaucratic processes play such an important role, and discuss the typical hurdles filmmakers face when submitting projects. Alongside a short input session, we will provide an overview of funding possibilities, and you will have the opportunity to work on your own project in small groups and search for suitable funding options. As part of the workshop, we will also introduce our community driven tool DEADLINER which is designed to make navigating funding opportunities easier for filmmakers. The goal of the workshop is simple: to provide orientation and make the first steps into film financing a little less intimidating. After the workshop part, there will be an open networking session where participants can connect with other filmmakers, exchange experiences, and build new contacts. **Schedule:** * **18:30 – Doors Open:** Arrival and pre-networking. * **19:00 – Workshop:** Yugen Yah speech and interactive workshop in groups. * **21:00 – Open Networking:** Continue the conversation over drinks. **Limited to 60 attendees.** Secure your spot to ensure you start the festival week with the right connections and a fresh professional look. **Join the Community** and stay updated to future Berlin events for creatives. AWS User Group Berlin Session - April 2026
AWS User Group Berlin Session - April 2026
Dear Community, Another month with two great talks in the agenda. This time we are meeting at our home **NLND Berlin**, with one talk covering AWS AgentCore while the second one about Redshift Data sharing. =================================================== 18:30 - Warming up and networking chat 18:45 - Intro by AWS UG Berlin & NLND 19:00 - 19:40 - **Gamei Chin & Milad Rezaeighale // The Diabetes Sweet Spot: Using AWS AgentCore to Empower Data-driven Lifestyle Decisions** This session is about building production-ready agentic workflows with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore—from running agents securely at scale on a managed Runtime, to exposing and orchestrating tools via AgentCore Gateway (including MCP-based tooling), adding different types of memory for context and personalization, and enforcing security and governance with Identity and Policy for controlled tool access. It ends with a live demo of a practical use case: an agentic app for glucose monitoring, showing the end-to-end workflow and monitoring in action. 19:40 - 20:00 - Networking break with food, snacks and drinks 20:00 - 20:40 - **Jirka Hubacek // Breaking Down Monolithic Redshift Using Data Shares** As data platforms scale, managing competing workloads in Amazon Redshift becomes increasingly challenging. Traditional WLM (Workload Management) often isn’t enough to effectively prioritize traffic — you end up facing a classic “chicken and egg” problem: should ETL pipelines or client-facing queries get priority? With the introduction of Redshift Data Sharing, there’s now a more flexible approach — you can create multiple Redshift instances that consume data from a shared source, isolating workloads without duplicating storage. 20:40 - 20:45 - Closing & Final Remarks =================================================== **Very Important: There is no "waitlist" for our regular sessions.** However, there are limited seats available. If you want to make sure you can attend: Register yourself with your "full name" here at meetup.com Arrive on time - seats are first come, first serve. As soon as there are seats available, you are welcome to join with your registration. In case there are no more seats available, we won't be able to let you join us this time.We thank you very much for your understanding! ================================== Additional Information **This event is wheelchair friendly.** Help us spread the word, and invite your friends & colleagues! If you're attending with wheelchair and need assistance, please mail us: organisers@berlinawsug.de for further details. Would you like to host AWS UG Berlin events at your company? AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s? This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation? We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
