Radical Empathy โ Queer Storytelling for Connection
**Radical Empathy โ Queer Storytelling for Connection**
host by **Neo Seefried**
guest: **Sarj Lynch**
event for **LGBTQIA+**
**[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w07-2026)**
Conflict is everywhere: in our inner lives, relationships, workplaces, communities. Instead of seeing it as rupture or failure, Radical Empathy explores how exchange can transform conflict into queer creativity, resilience, and solidarity.
This intimate closed group of 25โ30 queer participants will explore how storytelling can hold, transform, and reimagine conflict โ personal and collective. We will create a space where queer voices meet โ not to erase differences, but to live them and to seek new forms of connection.
**Calling in Care When Harm Happens**
In this session, weโll explore some of the ways that our bodies react in moments of rupture, as well as strategies for how we can activate our values to guide our responses when the going gets tough . Weโll learn a simple care protocol that can be applied when painful moments arise in our relationships โ whether we are the one experiencing harm, perpetuating it, or witnessing it (or, as so often happens, some combination of the three).
**Guest facilitator for this session is Sarj Lynch**, facilitator, community care organizer and co-initiator of aequa. **Sarj Lynch** (they) is a very curious facilitator and community care organizer based in Berlin. They are co-initiator of aequa (2017), aequa Workshops Collective (2020), and Berlin Collective Action e.V. (2020). Together with Bryony Beynon, they run Big Beef and Beyond โ an ongoing series of trainings on transformative approaches to tending to harm in our communities, which focuses especially on conflict, harm and abuse in collective, cultural and social movement and organizing work.
**General information**
**Participant**: this workshop series is open to LGBTQIA+ people, with particular encouragement for those holding multiple marginalizations.
**Language**: Depending on the groupโs needs, sessions will be held in German and/or English.
**Cost**: Free of charge, registration required.

AI bootcamp (Berlin) - Accelerate AI with Google Cloud
**Important:** Register on the [event website](https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2026021300)[ ](https://www.aicamp.ai/event/eventdetails/W2025103101)is required for admission.(RSVP is turned off on meetup)
**Description:**
Join Google Cloud Labs for an immersive, hands on workshop learning how to build and scale production-grade AI agents with Cloud Run and GPU support.
This is a hands-on program designed to take your AI applications from prototype to full-scale production. In the world of AI development, a great idea is just the beginning. The real challenge lies in transforming that initial spark into a secure, scalable, and robust application that can handle real-world demands.
Get ready to get your hands dirty! This is an interactive session, not a lecture. Through a series of live labs, you'll tackle real-world challenges, from securing your services to deploying advanced AI agents. You will leave with practical skills and the confidence to take your own AI projects to the next level.
**What You Will Learn:**
* **Deploy Secure, Production-Ready Services:** Master the essentials of securing your applications on Cloud Run. You will build and deploy a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and learn to implement authentication to ensure that only authorized clients and agents can interact with your service.
* **Build Intelligent Agents:** Dive into the Agent Development Kit (ADK) to construct an intelligent agent capable of understanding a goal and using tools to achieve it. You'll connect your agent to the secure MCP server you built, giving it the power to perform real-world tasks.
* **Containerize and Deploy:** Take your working agent and prepare it for a consistent, portable deployment. This is a crucial step for managing applications in a serverless environment.
* **Harness the Power of GPUs on Cloud Run**: Deploy your containerized agent to a Cloud Run instance and attach a GPU to accelerate your models. You will gain hands-on experience managing production configurations and testing a live, GPU-accelerated application.
**Agenda**
* 9:00AM - 9:30AM: Check-in, Networking, Coffee, and Breakfast
* 9:30AM - 10:00AM: Keynote: From AI Prototype to a Multi-Component Production App
* 10:00AM - 10:20AM: Tech Talk 1: The New Agentic Workflow: Empowering AI with Tools via MCP
* 10:20AM - 11:20AM: Lab 1: Deploy a Secure MCP Server on Cloud Run
* 11:20AM - 12:30PM: Lab 2: Use an MCP Server on Cloud Run with an ADK Agent
* 12:30PM - 1:30PM: Lunch Break

**Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin! *(Free resources below)***
**Learning Mandarin is like trying to tame a** ๐ฒ**.**
It can feel frustrating, but youโre not alone. **[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is here to support!
**[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is an independently built iOS app created by Ben and Gina.
We've turned the entire learning experience into ***Comprehensible Input* through both simplified and traditional manga** with support for **Zhuyin**, **Pinyin**, **flashcards**, **audio**, **direct translation**, an integrated dictionary.
We also specifically design region-specific language to reflect real-life usage in both **mainland Chinese Mandarin** and **Taiwanese Mandarin**, allowing you to naturally compare and explore the differences between the two, so you donโt end up saying something that makes perfect sense in Beijing, but gets you funny looks in Taipei ๐.
Now, together with our good friend Matthias from **[Gemeinsam Chinesisch & Deutsch lernen](https://www.meetup.com/gemeinsam-mandarin-chinesisch-und-deutsch-lernen/events/308204343/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events),** weโre inviting you to our very first **in-person Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin** together!
All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced learners. Just come hang out, share your stories, laugh at our tone mistakes! As a community, we can learn from each other and turn Mandarin into a piece of cake!
