Zürich Adult Saturday Afternoon Tennis Session for Beginners Group 1
Hello dear tennis enthusiast.
Every Saturday afternoon we meet up for our “Adult tennis group sessions” in Zurich.
It is open for both women and men.
You will train in groups of max 4 players per 1 court
Level: 12pm Beginners Group 1
Fee : 70 CHF per person (all included)
Monthly payments are preffered, this way you have guaranteed booked slot for the whole month.
We train on nice clay courts at TA Frauental during the summer and winter season.

Cancellation policy:

Padel & Socialize: Mexicano Tournament & Try Outs! (Tickets Required)

Looking for something different than going out on a Saturday evening? Join us for a fun introduction to padel or for the mexicano tournament, perfect for absolute beginners, occasional hobby players, or tennis enthusiasts looking to try something new. No previous experience is needed. After the event, we will gather for a social evening and have a drink together, you may bring something that you would like to share with the others.
**Location: Padelta, Milandia**
The venue has lockers (bring a 2.- coin) and showers available.
**Cost:** 40 CHF per person. It includes court rental, rackets, balls, a drink, and snacks after the game!
If you are a good former tennis player and have not tried padel yet, get the ticket of "Tournament Ticket", as long as you learn the rules beforehand through videos.
Newbies (50 CHF) will guided with an instructor (Abraham) separately.

**Game Rules:**
Because we’re using the Mexicano format, expect max one break during the whole 2 hrs games, in practice, that means each player is on court roughly 90-95% of the time. On average 1 game lasts 12 mins.
Scoring follows the Mexicano format; for this event, note:
* Every rally = 1 point.
* Serve switches to the other team every 2 points.
* The same player serves both serves (first from the right, then from the left).
* A game ends when the combined score is 21 (e.g., 9–12, 5–16, 8–13, etc.).
The event is posted in several places and **limited to 21 people**. Therefore, make sure to:

This will be an A-to-A run, starting and ending at our house, followed by an Apero thingee... which is French for "pretending to be elegant about drinking". Doggies welcome, try not to scare our cat.

At 5pm or so, **Black Udder** and **Africa** will lead a **coalition of the billing** to a nearby pizza restaurant for dinner. If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk trash, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

We’ll meet at **9:00 AM** at the usual spot by the lake, do a short warm-up, and then go into the water together.

Let's hike from Steckborn to Stein am Rhein! We'll partially follow the Via Rhenana (https://schweizmobil.ch/en/hiking-in-switzerland/route-60/stage-2). However, be aware that we'll make a detour to add some distance and height meters. Stein am Rhein is famous for its beautiful old town. And Sunday is the last day the Christmas Market is open (https://www.maerlistadt.ch/). So bring your Christmas cup along for the Glühwein!

Snowshoe Hike Soss SZ
Normally I do this route on touring skis, but this winter we’ll be hiking. Still, please bring snowshoes and an avalanche transceiver, just in case there’s by surprise snow.
We’ll meet on the train at Zürich HB at 07:33, arriving at the Stossbahn at 08:54. The Stossbahn is included in the GA, so it’s free if you have GA.

Hatha/Vinyasa + Sound Bath with Guka
Take some time out for yourself in this 90 minute class that combines yoga asana practice, meditation, breathwork (pranayama) and sound healing. In this class, Guka will combine a steady asana practice from hatha yoga and more dynamic vinyasa flow. Vision Loss Support Group: AT Ohio
Bill Darling, Director of Assistive Technology Ohio (AT Ohio), will address the purpose and function of AT Ohio. Of particular interest to our group is likely their Device Lending Library.
As taken from their website, AT Ohio's mission is to help Ohioans with disabilities learn about or acquire assistive technology. Assistive Technology refers to devices, equipment or services that assist individuals with disabilities to function independently in the areas of work, home or school.
AT Ohio is NOT a grants-giving or funding organization. They do not assist in financing the purchase of any assistive technology. If you need funding for a device, they might be able to direct you to resources that may provide funding, but they do not fund devices.
Target audience for this group is persons who are visually impaired, especially those who have experienced recent loss, however, all are welcome, including family members and supports. Light refreshments will be served.
