We will meet via the internet, using Zoom, until the current virus passes. To receive an invitation to all Wednesday evening meetings (starting 7 pm) and all Saturday meeting (starting 3:00 pm), send your email address to ams@ifsu.org and write, "Send me an internet invitation.” we will reply with links to Zoom -you can then join any meeting anytime free of charge.

Connect to Zoom meetup by clicking on the link. Participants are welcome to join the Main Room starting at 16:00 EST/ 21:00 GMT. We encourage all participants to sign in promptly by 16:00 EST/21:00 GMT. This allows for sufficient time to generate the full attendee list and assign roles based on your language skill level. Please right-click on your image in the screen and select "Rename". Add your French Language Skill Level, ranging from F1 = Beginner to F5 = Advanced & F6= Exceptional, in front of your name. For example, "F5 - Jean" or "F3 - John". This is essential for helping organizers mix and match different skill levels and form pairs for one-on-one conversation sessions. The organizer will manage each pair using breakout rooms and will rotate partners every 15 minutes. In each session, half the time in French and half the time in English. Breakout rooms will be opened for conversation sessions at 16:15 EST /21:15 GMT. All individual sessions will conclude at 18:00 EST/23:00 GMT. Following which we will return to the Main Room to thank you for your participation and get your feedback for future improvements. Please be advised that this event is first-come-first-served. We gaan samen een roman lezen (ook thuis) en spreken hierover en je krijgt hierover schrijfopdrachten. Heel goed voor het verhogen van je woordenschat eninteressant omdat we romans/verhalen lezen van literaire schrijvers. De leesclub is voor deelnemers van B2 en hoger.

We normally meet a few times a month during the week from 6-8pm. We will occasionally meet on weekends during daytime hours.

We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. Bring: * Something to share for the potluck * Clothes you can move around in A small contribution helps keep events sustainable and ensures those who RSVP actually show up.
