We’re so used to small talk… “How are you?” “What do you do?” “Where are you from?” But how often do we actually talk for real? ⸻ ✨ What this event is about: We’ll sit together in a circle at a public park, and explore meaningful questions— the kind that make you pause, reflect, and sometimes even feel a little vulnerable. Each person will have the chance to share (only if they want to), while everyone else listens with: • No judgment • No interruptions • Just empathy and presence ⸻ 💬 What kind of questions? Questions that go a bit deeper, like: • What’s something you’ve been struggling with lately? • When was the last time you felt truly understood? • What’s something people misunderstand about you? (Some are deep, some are light, but all are meaningful.) ⸻ 🤝 The vibe: This is a safe and respectful space. No pressure to share anything you’re not comfortable with. You can always pass. But if you do choose to share, you might be surprised how powerful it feels—and how much you connect with others. ⸻ 🌿 Why join? Younkin Branch Library (Ashville) meeting space is now reserved for any and all interested in or enthused by playing a game of chess. The second Thursday of each month, 6:00pm to 7:50pm. First gathering is Thursday, May 11th. No fees. Chess sets provided; however, you may bring your own if you wish.
