New Year’s Day Dim Sum at Joyous Chinese Cuisine
New Year’s Day Dim Sum at Joyous Chinese Cuisine
Having dim sum is always a great way to start the new year. Joyous Chinese Cuisine has a big dim sum selection with great food so it should be a dim sum feast. The address of the restaurant is: Joyous Chinese Cuisine 5505 Leslie St. North York, ON M2H 3N6 Phone: (416) 497-2888 joyouschinesecuisine.ca **Billing:** Please note, dim sum orderings are shared among the table and final bill is equally split. I expect the bill to come out to around $45 per person. Please bring cash for the food bill. **Dietary notes:** If you have vegetarian, vegan, allergic to certain foods, or don’t eat beef, pork, fish, or seafood, this Meetup may not be suitable for you. **Please come to the restaurant on time:** Although I reserved us a table at the restaurant, we are at the restaurant at a prime hour. Please contact me if you are running late. The restaurant may give away seats or reduce our table size when people are not there on time.

Let's restart the process and head into the sun. It will be a great year I'm sure. Well in theory anyway. Let's make 2026 shine. Over the years, Toronto has played host to some of the most famous nightclubs in the world. Nightclubs that not only invited the world's celebrities to party, but also created an exciting city that loved to boogie into the early morning. These nightclubs and dance halls turned the city of the Sunday Blue Laws into one of the world's party towns. And historically some of them are still around, but in a very different setting. Come along on a voyage of discovery as we look back at thirty of the iconic nightclubs in the downtown core. And take a trip down memory lane to the spots we all know and love. I remember two clubs from my youth, one was the iconic RPM on the lakeshore and Sparkles at the CN Tower. Do I have stories to tell about these two? Oh yeah, do I! Just don't hold it against me! Hope to see you on this walk, and Happy New Year, 2026. This walking tour is for all fitness levels and skills. Please dress for the weather. This walking tour begins at the Toronto Reference Library on Yonge Street just north of Bloor Street. We end at the King Edward Hotel on King Street East! And hope to see you there! This tour has a ticket price of $15.00 per person! \*\* **Please note: Please e-transfer the ticket amount when booking your space for this tour! Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Let’s do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together. Here’s how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and she’d like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jennifer’s laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions. If you’re feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming! Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone else’s project at this event! Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. Absolutely bring those to the event! **Discord**: We use Discord to share screen & code snippets during the event. Also feel free to share your projects here before the event! https://discord.gg/Da9fZFxPfs **Event policy**: * We have 0 tolerance for harassment. * We don’t allow the projects that are not meant to be shared in public such as school assignments, interview tasks, or trade secrets. * The goal is to write code. We discourage you from pitching business ideas here, doing code reviews, or spending the whole event on planning what to do. * Please buy a drink, and tip the barista well.

Hello and welcome to the 2SLGBTQIA+ Extravaganza! We are Canada's largest, and longest-running, board game event for the queer community. **About Us:** Our events are friendly meetups that aim to create a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, friends, and allies to gather and connect through gaming. Our goals for our events are to foster greater community, help build friendships, and support our community's safe space partners. **What to Expect:** Connecting with you and helping you find a group and a game is literally why we love putting these events on. Should you join us, both our volunteers and veteran attendees will help you feel comfortable and at home. Extravaganza events are community first. However you identify on the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum, there is always a chair for you at our game tables. Friendly allies are also welcome, so long as they are respectful of the intentions of the event space. **Board Games:** From classic favourites to modern hits, we will have a wide selection of games to choose from, learn, and explore with nearly 100 games in our collection, including Coup, Codenames, Catan and many more! Many men experience healthier relationships, personally and professionally, by engaging in this work. Open Men’s Group is a container for men to share vulnerably without receiving judgment or feedback. We believe that emotionally mature, powerful, compassionate, and purpose-driven men will help heal some of society’s deepest wounds. We support the powerful brilliance of men and we are willing to look at, and take full responsibility for, the pain we are also capable of creating – and suffering. We care deeply about men, our families, communities, and the planet. Visit ManKind Project USA to discover more. https://mkpusa.org/
