AGENDA
17:30 - Doors open, networking, drinks, food
18:30 – Ilya Kosmodemiansky (CEO, Data Egret): PostgreSQL worst practices
This talk is a collection of real life examples where each slide shows a way of screwing up your Postgres installation. Working at a consultancy I have quite a variety of those and prior to this talk I will reshuffle the deck and draw ten random slides that will be presented. I will of course also explain why and how to avoid such practices.
19:30 - Sikandra Chaudhary (Solution Architect, AWS): What's new in PostgreSQL 17
PostgreSQL 17 introduces numerous enhancements, including better Vacuum performance, improved Partition Management, optimized WAL Locks, and enhanced remote query execution using FDW. Additionally, it offers advancements in logical replication, monitoring, and added several security features. Attend the session to discover these exciting updates.
20:30 - Networking
