Wir treffen uns jeden ersten Sonntag im Monat um immer wieder an einem anderen Ort in Zürich zu zeichnen oder zu malen, was wir sehen und mögen. Wir kehren zurück zum Wahrzeichen Zürichs, dem Grossmünster. Die markanten Doppeltürme sind in der heutigen, neugotischen Form zwar noch keine 250 Jahre alt, insgesamt kann die Kirche aber bereits auf eine rund 900-jährige Geschichte zurückblicken. Die romanische Kirche, deren Besucher und die umliegende Altstadt geben unzählige Motive ab so dass mit Sicherheit jede auf ihre Kosten kommt.

Wir treffen uns ausserhalb der Kirche, beim grossen Baum auf der Aussichtsplattform unterhalb der Kirche in Richtung Limmat. Bitte beachtet, dass von 10-11 Uhr ein Gottesdienst in der Kirche stattfindet. Wenn ihr das Grossmünster von innen besichtigen möchtet, dann macht das bitte erst nach dem Gottesdienst.

Bitte bringt euer eigenes Zeichenmaterial und wer mag auch einen kleinen Stuhl. Keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. Anschliessend treffen wir uns wieder und teilen unsere Ergebnisse. Das Manifest der Urban Sketcher dient uns als Orientierung: http://www.urbansketchers.org/p/our-manifesto.html

Every first Sunday of the month we meet to draw or paint whatever we see and like in or around a place in Zurich that is different each time. We return to the city's landmark, the Grossmünster. The distinctive twin towers in their current neo-Gothic form are not yet 250 years old, but overall the church can already look back on a history of about 900 years. The Romanesque church, its visitors and the surrounding old town provide countless motifs so that everyone is sure to find a suitable subject.

We meet outside the church, at the big tree on the viewing platform below the church in the direction of the Limmat. Please note that there will be a service in the church from 10-11am. If you would like to visit the Grossmünster from the inside, please do so after the service.
