Dear wonderful UX community in Munich,

We’re excited to invite you to the 41st UX Monday!
This time, our host is Avelios – we’ll be gathering in their beautiful office space right in the heart of Munich (Avelios, Ridlerstraße 39, 80339 München (1st Floor)).

About Avelios:
Avelios unlocks clinical data to power seamless healthcare operations for better patient care. We build a modular software platform that streamlines hospital workflows end to end, from appointment booking and treatment planning to medical documentation and billing. Through thoughtful UX and deliberate use of AI, we help doctors and nurses spend more time with their patients and less time on paperwork. We're a fast-growing scale-up already live in several major hospitals across Germany. We are actively hiring for open positions in the design and product teams.

Join us to get inspired, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow UX enthusiasts. As always, there’ll be drinks and plenty of time for conversations and networking.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you there!

About the Talk - AI as a UX Partner: How I Design Faster in Complex Systems

  1. AI in UX: Reality & Future. What AI can already automate, what is changing in UX, and where designers should focus next.
  2. My Real AI Workflow. How I use AI across research, UX, and UI, with real examples, tools, and workflows from my daily work.
  3. Best AI Tools for UX Designers (2026–2027). The tools that actually work, how I combine them, and where they genuinely save time.

About the Talk: What does it mean to be a UX designer in the AI era?
Everyone these days says that UX design is dead, and that we're in the middle of a huge crisis for our roles. And it's easy to see why: AI can now assist with research, generate ideas, build prototypes, and even write code. Work that used to define our role, from discovery to delivery, can now be supported by a machine at almost every step. Many companies are cutting design roles, and everyone can feel the pressure and anxiety around what to do next and how to stay relevant in this industry. There are new tools to learn and a growing pressure to deliver faster than ever just to remain competitive.
But maybe, in the middle of this huge mess, that's exactly where new opportunities lie. If AI is now part of the process, the real question isn't whether design is dead, but what the role of the designer becomes next. In this talk, we'll take a look at where designers stand today: the tools reshaping our day-to-day work, what's changing, and the growing overlap between design, product, business, and engineering. We'll go back to the basics: what does it actually mean to be a UX designer? Why does the role have value in the first place? And, most importantly, how can we reposition ourselves for what's next?

About the Speaker:
Mariaserena Di Giovanni is a Strategy & UX Designer at FLUID Design in Munich, with experience across large consultancies and small creative agencies, in both private and public sectors. She is also a lecturer in Design Management at Hochschule München, where she helps the next generation of designers build strong foundations.

Her real passion lies in the strategic side of design: connecting the dots between user needs, design challenges, business goals, technology, and AI’s growing role in research and innovation - not just focusing on execution, but on thinking, strategizing, and making sure all the pieces work together.

We are looking forward to welcoming you.

Cheers,
Andrea, Evgeny, Ann-Cathryn and Philipp
