ConvNetJS – Deep Learning in your browser Christoph KörnerHe will presenet ConvNetJS, a JavaScript library for training and running Convolutional Neural Networks in the browser. It can be used for common Machine Learing tasks, such as classification and regression and can get quite powerful using offline training. We will cover some basic theory, learn how and why to use CNNs in the browser and see some cool demos.

He will show how utilizing the built in methods of Array (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Array/map) allows the usage of functional concepts (map, filter, reduce, etc) and hack around a little on examples.

Creating a Slack Bot with JavaScript Andrey OkonetchnikovAndrey will show you how to create a Slack Bot. In the talk he will show you how he developed one for displaying code snippets for files hosted on Beanstalk (http://beanstalkapp.com/)
