Talks:

Smooth Page TransitionsRoland Schütz / Software Developer
We've accepted the jankiness of page loads as a quirk of the web even though there is no technical reason for it. Learn how to add transitions to eliminate the hard cuts and white flashes of page loads that deface the beauty of the user experience.

D3.js - Data driven visualizationsChristoph Körner
After explaining the main principles of D3 (Data transformations, Data joins, Update pattern), Christoph will focus on visualizations (Charts, Graphics, Games, etc.) with D3 (Drawing Shapes, Paths, Axis, Transitions, etc.). In the end, you will see some demos and real life examples.

JavaScript and its Web server gateway interfacesLars D
An introduction and status-quo summary for backend web developers.

"Hardware".replace(/hard/i,"easy");Szmozsánszky István
JavaScript since its inception has been continously kept lowering the barrier of entry for software development. After the web, servers, mobile and desktop apps the new frontier is JavaScript-driven hardware & electronics. After Arduino & the Raspberry Pi paved the way, node brought JavaScript to the hardware (with johnny-five and similar libraries), and now several low-cost dedicated JS-based microcontroller exists that one can use to dive in and turn bits and blobs into beeps and blinks.
After a short intro I'll show how this works, and how can one start hacking hardware in 5 minutes with the Espruino, Tessel and even a sneak-peek into the brand-new Tessel2 to be released next month.

unserwein's mission is to make wine tastings approachable, easy and fun. Our solution simplifies the preparation and execution of large and small wine fairs, and Austria's largest wine events are already organized using our tools.

Our technology stack is Javascript everywhere: CouchDB and Node.js on the server, and on the client React and Redux. Starting immediately, we are looking for a React/Redux hero with some backend experience. Ideally you should be fluent in ES6/7, know Node.JS by heart, love functional programming and enjoy a good glass of Austrian wine.
