The details:
Come join us at CPS Nursery to learn how to grow your own native plants from seed! The event will feature a short presentation on the ins and outs of starting native plants from seed, a demo on preparing substrate, scarifying seeds, and seeding a tray. Attendees will then have the opportunity to prepare a seed tray for the nursery to grow out in the 2026 growing season. CPS Nursery is a community learning space. Come join us so we can learn and share knowledge together! Prior experience not necessary! All welcome.

We will also likely have leftover seed for attendees to take home. We humbly request that if your seeds are wildly successful and bursting from their trays that you consider sharing some with the nursery next spring.

The workshop will run from 10am to 12pm(approx). From 12pm to 2pm we will be switching to working on regular nursery upkeep tasks. Attendees are welcome to stay after but not required to.
