Webassembly: The next big Polyglot Platform (feat. Surma & Sven Sauleau)

Details
We will welcome Surma and Sven Sauleau on our next meetup to talk about compiling different programming languages to Webassembly, running them in the browser or on a serverless platform like Cloudflare.
(If you signup, make sure to either signup with your real name or send it with a private message as it's required for security purposes to enter the building.)
- Polyglot WebAssembly
Speaker: Surma (Google Web Advocate)
WebAssembly can be targeted by multiple languages with different strengths and weaknesses. Let’s take a quick survey of the landscape and how you can choose the right tool for the right job.
- WebAssembly: The Next Big Platform
Speaker: Sven Sauleau (Cloudflare, Webpack Webassembly support, Babel.js)
JavaScript has had the monopoly on the web for quite some time now. What if, for performance reasons or preference, you want to use another language on the web or mix them? WebAssembly is the right tool for the job! I want to demonstrate how you can write parts of your JavaScript application using Rust and related tools.
To complete the demonstration, the code will be deployed on Cloudflare's serverless platform.
Rust ecosystem offers many great tools to work with WebAssembly on the web. These include DOM manipulation, JavaScript bindings and so on, and you will learn more about them in the talk.
