In the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) are limited by their training data. Still, AI agents can overcome these limitations by using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to access external, up-to-date information, enhancing the accuracy and relevance of their responses. This session will explore how Google Cloud's Vertex AI provides a platform for building RAG applications, including Vertex AI Search, a managed service for creating knowledge-based agents, and the RAG Engine for grounding LLM responses in custom data. You'll gain an understanding of how RAG works, including indexing, creating vector embeddings, and retrieving relevant information to provide context for the LLM. The session will provide practical insights into how RAG can be used to build robust and reliable AI applications and discuss how Gemini 2.0 models support agentic capabilities.
