ThoughWorks is partnering with moinworld to increase the number of women in technology and motivate girls for tech careers. This evening we would like to talk about wellbeing in software development and life.
Lets talk about the changing role of quality professionals, why diverse teams matter. In our second talk we want to talk about habits we can implement to stay healthy, resilient and in a good mood to also address
quality in life.

Originally created as a guest lecture for students at HTW Berlin, this talk offers an introduction to the topic of quality and how to build quality in. We will look at software development processes and practices, different types of requirements (functional and non-functional) and the changing role of quality professionals. In addition to the technical approach, we will also explore the importance of diversity and inclusion with regards to quality.
▶ 8:00 pm: Working healthily - Ways to increase productivity, lower stress and reduce pain by Judith Schmitz
The aim of the talk “Working healthily” is to sensitize us to current challenges that we have to face and to provide concrete impulses and potential solutions to stay healthy, resilient and in a good mood. Judith will share different habits that can influence one's performance as well as the wellbeing of each individual.

👩 Meet our speakers:
Jo Will ( Lead Consultant Quality Analyst at ThoughtWorks)
With a degree in archaeology and computer science Jo started her career in QA in 2005. She has worked for several IT companies in different sectors before joining ThoughtWorks as a consultant in 2016.
Shalini Saini (Senior Consultant Quality Analyst at ThoughtWorks)
Started her career as a developer in 2010 and soon found her passion in Quality which allowed her to be more creative. She has been part of various IT companies, exploring different domains & processes. Joined ThoughtWorks in 2015.
Judith Schmitz (Office & Community Manager at ThoughtWorks)
Judith is a sport scientist, and specialized in occupational health management and stress management. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge about mental and physical health, and encouraging others to look after their mental and physical wellbeing at work, and in daily life. She has worked within ThoughtWorks since November 2020.
