Join us for our upcoming Women Techmakers Meetup! From tech novices and newcomers to experienced builders and leaders, our community thrives on diverse perspectives.
Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and connect with fellow changemakers. Everyone is welcome (all genders & backgrounds). Looking forward to seeing you there!

Format:

• 3 talks (each ca. 10-20 min incl. discussion)
• Time for networking after the presentations
• Talks are held in German and English ( if in German with English subtitles)
• Drinks will be provided (please bring your own food this time)
• We will be taking photos and/or film footage at the event. These will be used to share news about our meetups and to publicize upcoming events.

First talk:
Franziska Gertz - "The AI Wingwoman – Mehr Raum für Frauen in Tech"
Abstract:
AI can do more than just write code: It can serve as a sparring partner, a learning aid, and a way to amplify one’s own expertise. A personal perspective, drawn from nearly 20 years in tech, on how AI can help women approach new challenges with greater confidence, become more visible, and take up more space. This talk will be held in German language with English subtitles. Q&A in English/German mix.
Bio:
Franzi has been working in software development since 2010—and is now a principal software engineer at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot GmbH. In addition to actively working on front-end development, she evaluates setups for new projects and supports her colleagues in their professional and personal development. Franzi is passionate about accessibility and diversity; she never tires of continually questioning and optimizing these areas.

Second talk:
Sophia Bojat - Making Physics Sparkle:The Journey from Idea to Children’s Book
Abstract: How can we inspire children to see science as a natural part of everyday life? Sophia Bojat, children’s book author, illustrator and founder of Kids for Science, shares her journey from business and marketing to creating science picture books for young children. She will introduce RUMMS & BOING – Ariella entdeckt die Schwerkraft, the first book in her series, and discuss how engaging stories and illustrations can make scientific concepts accessible, spark curiosity and encourage girls to see themselves in STEM from an early age.
Bio:
Sophia Bojat is a children's book author, illustrator, and founder of Kids for Science. Previously, as a business administrator, she held management positions for several years in project management and marketing.

Third talk:
Estelle Bolin & Laurianne Tiard: The Confidence Code: A Startup's Mission to Equip and Elevate Women
Abstract: Three women, tired of accepting the gender gaps in health, finance, and career, built TIARD ("There Is A Real Dynamic")—a Hamburg-based femtech startup equipping women with the information and tools to build confidence in their well-being, rights, and career strategies.
Co-founders Lauriane Tiard and Estelle Bolin share what drove them to start this journey, entirely self-funded so far, beginning with Vivi, a cycle-aware wellbeing companion now in beta across 10 countries. They'll get honest about the messy reality of startup life: mistakes made, lessons learned, and what it really means to run a pre-incorporation startup in Germany. They'll also dive into how they're differentiating in the market, what's next for their products, and what women actually want from a wellbeing app.

Bio:
Laurianne: Initiator of TIARD with 20+ years in media strategy, Lauriane tackles algorithmic bias affecting women’s wellbeing. She is also Founder & VP of La French Tech Hamburg and a Sustainable Tech advocate.
Estelle: Co-founder and digital product designer at TIARD, Estelle combines 8+ years leading international social projects with a deep commitment to inclusive design. Drawing on her direct work alongside people with disabilities, she specializes in digital accessibility and designing intuitive tools for complex, real-world human needs.

Who organizes the whole thing?
This event is organized by moinworld e.V.. A non profit organization that emerged from the Women Techmakers Meetup. It provides a network for minorities in IT and at the same time offers a platform for everyone to make a contribution so that IT can be a tool for everyone.
