With our upcoming workshop «Let’s get physical» we are inviting doctors, nurses, med-students, designers & developers to learn about basic electronic prototyping. With these skills you will be able to transform early ideas into tangible products. The workshop will be the first of many and is seen as a preparation to following hackathons.

QUICK FACTS

Sa Dec 6th 2014 - 1pm till 8pm

  1. Lecture on arduinos and basic electronic prototyping
  2. Work on different topics
  3. Bring a laptop (if you dont have one, write us!)
  4. No prior knowledge needed.

Payment with Paypal or credit card. If your having problems, contact us via phone 0177 67 33 841 or drop us a line here or via info@hackinghealth.de.

TOPICS

We have prepared 4 exciting projects! You can pick one upon arrival.

«LED me see your muscles, maybe»

Measuring your muscular activity can be helpful for many reasons ranging from rehabilitational assistance for improved training sessions for athletes to even sensing emotions in a face. The workshop will help you build your own muscular activity measurement tool. The possibilities here are endless.

«Pulsation»

We are using exciting infrared technology to measure our pulse and use it to control things. Maybe we can even build it from scratch? You will learn about Arduinos, optics, electrical components, signal processing, and a bit of programming.

«Bend it like Beckham»

There is nothing worse for an athlete than to be sidelined by an injury. Both prevention and rehab play important roles. And with current prices of electronics dropping we can now build prevention as well as rehab tools right into our clothes. This topic will focus on a simple idea of angle measurement. The workshop help you build your own angle measurement tool, that you can take and build on top of. The possibilities are endless.

«Under Pressure»

Weight bearing can be problematic after injuries and surgeries. Often, a partial weight bearing is recommended. But what exactly is partial? What are 15kg (if you are given a weight)? We will investigate using pressure sensors to provide active feedback for a faster healing process.
