Hi everyone!

Some of you are still recovering from our last event and yet our next event i just about to happen already.

We want to change our "end of the month events" to "mid-month events" and because of that we have that real short break between 2 Eurostaff-Connect-Events. But it will be only this one time. :)

Ok, long story short, here is what you can expect from our August event:

Evolving Agile Organizations With Sociocracy 3.0

This talk will introduce you to Sociocracy 3.0, a free and open-source framework for agile teams, replacing traditional ideas of management with new patterns for collaboration, governance, organizational evolution, process improvement, and organizational structure.

A Sociocracy-3.0-organization is the perfect host for agile development and lean production, and avoids the friction between an agile mindset and hierarchical structures of management. It plays nicely with Scrum and the Lean Startup Method, and contains patterns for scaling up agile development.

Sociocracy 3.0 creates a pull system for organizational change that meets organizations and teams where they are now, and supports the transition to what works for them at their own pace: continuous improvement of of work processes (and other policy) incrementally reveals more abstract impediments which can then be resolved by pulling in one or more new patterns.

Sociocracy 3.0 is built around 5 design goals:

  • free: all materials, including those we create for trainings, are available under a Creative Commons Free Culture License
  • open: take what you need, do what you want with it, remix and adapt it
  • lightweight: everything is reduced to the essentials, you can easily add more complexity
  • effective: practices and concepts have been tested in the real world
  • actionable: there's specific patterns which can be implemented within the scope of a single team, or even, with a bit of imagination, just for one person.

This topic will be presented to you by Bernhard Bockelbrink (https://www.xing.com/profile/Bernhard_Bockelbrink):

Bernhard Bockelbrink is co-founder of The Sociocracy 3.0 Movement (http://sociocracy30.org/). He supports organizations on their way towards a culture of distributed leadership and close collaboration, that allows them to sustainably grow valuable products with happy people.

He has 18 years of experience in as a coach, trainer, CTO, scrum master, product owner, project manager, technology consultant and developer in startups, small-/medium-sized businesses and enterprises, and a passion for agile and lean software development that goes back to the late 1990s.

Just so everyone canbe sure - this event will be held in English.

See you on August 12th! :-)
