Talk 1: Navigating the Future of AI - Overcoming Multi-Tenancy and Compute Challenges in Large-Scale Architectures
Abstract: In this talk, we will unveil the best practices for an AI platform, a refined product of our extensive experience in the dynamic AI ecosystem. We will explore the unique challenges posed by large-scale multi-tenancy and substantial compute requirements, discussing how we have successfully navigated these issues in the past and our strategies for overcoming them in the future. Join us to gain insights into the cutting-edge architectural solutions driving SAP's AI advancements.
Speaker's Bio: Starting his career in theoretical physics, Jan Fokken transitioned through the startup world, driving innovation in two ventures before joining SAP in 2017 as a Kubernetes expert. His technical journey evolved, leading him to explore architectural topics and their integration with AI technologies. Outside of work, he enjoys family time and the challenges of bouldering. Join him at our upcoming meet-up to delve into the exciting intersections of AI, Kubernetes, and system architecture.
Talk 2: Simplifying Enterprise AI: Harnessing the Power of the Generative AI Hub for SAP Ecosystem
Abstract: The Generative AI Hub serves as the Generative AI layer on top of the AI Core. As the field rapidly evolves, our goal is not only to keep pace, but also to filter and select the technologies that are most relevant to our users and businesses. But we are not just about making technology accessible. It is about lowering the barriers to using it, providing business AI functionalities and capabilities that simplify and shorten the path to an enterprise-ready application for the SAP ecosystem. In this presentation, I will give a brief overview of our offerings and demonstrate the potential of what can be built with them.
Speaker's Bio: Mathis Boerner with a background in astro-particle physics and machine learning, transitioned from academia to industry, bringing a wealth of experience from his PhD and his time in the automotive sector. At SAP for nearly three years, he's been deeply involved in AI, particularly in the development of LLM-based applications and fine-tuning of LLMs. In his current position as a Generative AI Development Expert, he's working on improving the capabilities of SAP's generative AI hub.
